Drawing from the lessons of past electoral setbacks against the formidable All Progressives Congress (APC), the opposition seems to be gearing up for a stronger showing. Sani posited that the recent losses have imparted valuable lessons upon them, prompting a strategic re-evaluation.

It’s worth noting that the APC itself emerged from a significant merger back in 2013. The coalition brought together Nigeria’s three predominant opposition entities at the time – the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), and the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP). This union was further bolstered by a splinter group from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the then newly-formed Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP).
