In his recent inspection of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Road, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, emphasized the urgency attached to the project by the current administration. Umahi’s inspection tour led him to Kaduna State, where he paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarable. During the visit, the Minister reiterated the President’s commitment to infrastructural development, stating that roads like the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano are crucial for national development and are therefore a priority.

Furthermore, this emphasis on timely delivery of infrastructure projects is consistent with Umahi’s recent assurance to Nigerians regarding the Benin-Lokoja road. The Minister had expressed confidence that this particular road would be fixed in the shortest possible time, reaffirming the government’s commitment to enhancing the nation’s transportation network.
