It’s noteworthy that Tinubu presented a Chicago University certificate, claiming it as his alma mater, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This has become a point of contention, especially in the face of recent attacks on the university by supporters of Peter Obi.

Speaking on the issue, Adeyanju remarked:

“Tinubu failed to present even a basic primary or secondary school certificate to INEC. The only university certificate he did present is now mired in controversy. Remembering the Supreme Court’s verdict in Buhari’s case, it appears one doesn’t need a WAEC certificate to be president. Our younger generation is keenly observing and making mental notes.”
