The tribunal’s judgment, delivered on Thursday, caused confusion within the media as different reports initially conveyed conflicting outcomes regarding the petition filed by the PDP and its candidate, Isa Mohammed Ashiru, in the March 18 gubernatorial election.

Some sources initially claimed that the tribunal upheld Governor Ubah Sani’s election, dismissing the PDP’s petition. In contrast, others suggested that the tribunal had removed the governor and declared the election inconclusive. Ultimately, it was clarified that the tribunal had affirmed the governor’s election.

In response, Shehu Sani took to his social media account to criticize the judges for delivering a perplexing judgment. He suggested that the tribunal had resorted to a compromised judgment to appease both the PDP and the ruling party.

His social media post stated, “The Judges of the Kaduna Election Tribunal spent four months and, in a manner that lacks courage, concluded by delivering a judgment aimed at pacifying both sides, thereby leaving both sides ‘firmly adrift in the sea of uncertainty.'”
