The APC leader urged Yusuf to refrain from squandering Kano State funds on instigating protests and instead await the Supreme Court’s final decision on his appeal against the Court of Appeal’s verdict, which ousted him from office.

Speaking at the Kano Press Centre during a discussion with journalists, the National Leader and 2023 Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, addressed the political situation in Kano.

Kwankwaso urged Governor Yusuf and the NNPP to cease wasting taxpayer money on orchestrated protests in the state.

Regarding the Kano State governorship dispute, the APC stalwart asserted that both the tribunal and the appeal court judgments align with constitutional provisions and the Electoral Act.

He emphasized that power can be transferred from Yusuf to Nasiru Gawuna of the APC if that is the will of God.

Kwankwaso called on Governor Yusuf and the NNPP to refrain from inciting political violence and creating confusion in Kano State.

He emphasized that the judgments were rendered in accordance with constitutional and electoral regulations, and criticized the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya Movement for engaging in extensive propaganda that insults the judiciary and attempts to provoke political unrest in Kano.

He noted that such actions violated the Peace Accord signed at the Police Command, which prohibits such public assemblies.
