Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, representing Senator Akpabio, conveyed that each of the 109 Senators will contribute from their one-month salary to make up the total donation. Expressing deep concern and sympathy, Jibrin emphasized that the Senate is committed to collaborating with the federal and Kaduna State governments to provide assistance and relief to the affected community.

During a condolence visit to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the Deputy Senate President conveyed the shock and sorrow felt by the lawmakers regarding the unfortunate event. He reiterated the Senate’s determination to work in tandem with the relevant authorities to ensure the well-being and recovery of Tudun Biri.

“We were indeed shocked over the incident, and we prayed never to see such occurrence again,” Jibrin remarked.

In addition to the financial contribution, the Deputy Senate President visited the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna to extend sympathies to the survivors of the bombings.
