Addressing a gathering at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to celebrate his 61st birthday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio urged Nigerians to exhibit patience and steadfastness with the administration led by President Bola Tinubu. During the celebration, Akpabio refuted claims suggesting the creation of an office for the Senate President’s wife, emphasizing that such rumors were baseless. He extended condolences to the families affected by the Kaduna bomb blast and pledged to lead fellow senators on a condolence visit, promising necessary assistance.
In his address, Akpabio stated, “I want to thank my distinguished guests who came to celebrate with me on this occasion. I also want to assure the people that Nigeria would be great again under Tinubu’s administration. He has the capacity and the political will to execute the lofty projects his administration has mapped out for the people.”
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the president’s wife, conveyed her birthday wishes to Senator Akpabio, commending his exemplary leadership that upholds democratic principles and accountability. She highlighted Akpabio’s dedication to promoting the interests of vulnerable Nigerians.
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom congratulated Senator Akpabio on his birthday and pledged support for his leadership, emphasizing a commitment beyond party affiliations and ethnicity. The governor encouraged unity among Akwa Ibom people and stakeholders for the state’s growth and development.
