Omoaje clarified that Ibrahimoh had not consulted with the national leadership of the party before initiating the legal challenge. He highlighted the party’s commitment to a meticulous and bureaucratic approach to constitutional matters, asserting, “Our party is not a newbie when it comes to legal matters.” Omoaje revealed that since the publication of the final list of candidates by INEC, Ibrahimoh had distanced himself from the party’s leadership, making communication difficult.

According to Omoaje, efforts by the party’s leadership to engage with Ibrahimoh regarding his election plans were consistently rebuffed, creating an atmosphere of isolation. He pointed out that the Deputy National Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Isa, who led the national team to monitor the election in Kogi State, was left without communication throughout their stay in the state.

Omoaje expressed concern about the party’s lack of knowledge regarding the petition filed by the party in Kogi State before the Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal. He emphasized the dangers of such isolated arrangements and stated unequivocally that the Action Alliance had no involvement in the matter before the tribunal and had no interest in it.

The national chairman also brought attention to the alleged plans of an expelled member, Kenneth Udeze, to sponsor negative publications in the print media against himself and the Action Alliance. Omoaje concluded by disassociating the party from any involvement in the Kogi State governorship election tribunal matter and affirming its commitment to avoiding past pitfalls related to isolated arrangements.
