The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s Kaduna State Command reported the seizure of 1,458.709kg of illegal substances in December, as disclosed in a statement provided to the News Agency of Nigeria by the agency’s Press Officer, Shuaibu Omale. Simultaneously, the spokesperson stated that the command apprehended 103 suspects, comprising drug traffickers, dealers, and users. In addition to these enforcement actions, the command executed numerous awareness campaigns throughout the state, aiming to educate the public about the adverse effects of drug use and illicit trafficking.
Omale emphasized, “It is crucial to note that 26 illicit drug joints were dismantled, and the command secured six convictions while arraigning 24 suspects within the month of December 2023.
