As per NAFDAC’s statement on the matter, investigations carried out by the TG Arla Dairy Product Enterprise company (Holder of Certificate of Registration) revealed that these fraudulent products were openly displayed in the market.

The statement indicated, “NAFDAC zonal directors and state coordinators have received directives to conduct surveillance and eliminate the counterfeit Arla Dano 14g full cream Milk Powder from circulation in states across Nigeria.

NAFDAC urges caution and vigilance among distributors, retailers, and consumers, emphasizing the need to carefully inspect the authenticity and physical condition of the products to avoid consumption, sale, or distribution of counterfeit items.

Individuals in possession of the counterfeit Arla Dano 14g full cream Milk Powder are advised to surrender their stock to the nearest NAFDAC office. In case of consumption or any adverse reaction/event experienced, immediate medical advice from a qualified healthcare professional is recommended.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicion of the distribution and sale of counterfeit or unwholesome packaged food products to the nearest NAFDAC office, contact NAFDAC at 0800-162-3322, or email sf.alert@nafdac.gov.ng.

Likewise, consumers are urged to report adverse events or side effects related to the consumption of unwholesome packaged food products through the nearest NAFDAC office, E-reporting platforms on the NAFDAC website (www.nafdac.gov.ng), or via the Med-safety application available for download on Android and IOS stores, or by email at pharmacovigilance@nafdac.gov.ng.
