Following the heartbreaking incident, Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, extended his condolences and support to the grieving family. On Thursday, February 8, during a visit to the family residence and the site of the recent market fire in Jega, Governor Idris announced a donation of N10 million to Musibau’s family. Additionally, he allocated N50 million to traders whose shops were engulfed in flames last month.

During the condolence visit, Governor Idris expressed his sympathy and stated, “N50 million is for those whose shops were burnt down on 16th January 2024, while N10 million is for the family that lost their lives. At this juncture, I want to pray to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased shortcomings and grant them Jannatul Firdaus.” The governor characterized the fire as an act of God, emphasizing that questioning such events was beyond human jurisdiction. He urged family and friends to continually remember the departed in their prayers, seeking mercy for their souls from God Almighty.
