Osariemen’s passion for literature and her desire to promote important social causes have inspired her to undertake this monumental task. She believes that through her marathon reading sessions, she can shed light on issues such as irregular migration, human trafficking, climate change, and the rich cultural heritage of Benin.

The event, organized by the Genius Hub organization, aims not only to set a new world record but also to raise awareness and inspire action on pressing global challenges. The chosen themes for the reading sessions reflect the organization’s commitment to advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to education, gender equality, economic growth, and environmental sustainability.

Scheduled to take place at the Edo State Library, the read-aloud marathon will span ten days, from February 23rd to March 3rd, 2024. Osariemen plans to immerse herself in a diverse selection of books, covering topics ranging from Benin history and cultural heritage to migration and climate change.
