The operation unfolded following a tip-off received by the Eagle Eye Patrol Unit, alerting them to the presence of suspected One-Chance members in the Dogon Karfe area of Jos. Acting swiftly on the information, law enforcement officers rushed to the scene, where they intervened just as the syndicate attempted to rob Abubakar Mohammed of his belongings.
Upon arrival, the police encountered an enraged mob, who had managed to overpower the suspects. Undeterred by the hostile environment, the officers promptly rescued Mohammed and arrested three individuals believed to be part of the criminal gang.
The arrested suspects were identified as Yazid Ukasha, aged 23, from Nasarawa Gwong, and Adamu Yahaya Garba, aged 22, from Layin Dan Maraya, Bauchi Road. Preliminary investigations revealed their affiliation with a One-Chance syndicate responsible for preying on unsuspecting passengers in the Jos metropolis.
