Fresh Update: Shettima Unveils Projections For Naira-Dollar Exchange Rate In Upcoming Weeks....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Vice President Kashim Shettima has reassured the public that the Naira will maintain its stability in the forthcoming weeks and months. Shettima conveyed this commitment during the inauguration of the National Design and Innovation Competition held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday.

The event, organized by the Interior Designers Association of Nigeria (IDAN), aimed to foster entrepreneurship and creativity among the youth. It served as a platform to encourage innovative ventures.

Previously, in February, the Naira had reached an exchange rate as high as N1900 to a dollar. However, owing to various monetary policies implemented by the government, the currency has exhibited a gradual appreciation. Currently, the Naira is trading at N1396 to a dollar in the official market and N1470 in the parallel market.

During his address at the event, the Vice President affirmed the government’s commitment to executing policies and programs geared towards stabilizing the Naira. Furthermore, he emphasized President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s dedication to tackling issues related to food security, nutrition, and insecurity.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of youth in fostering creativity, Shettima pledged continued governmental support for their aspirations. He announced plans to integrate young innovators into the government’s 617.7 million dollars Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (i-DICE) program.

The Vice President’s remarks underscored the government’s ongoing efforts to foster economic stability and empower the nation’s youth through innovative initiatives.
