Kilamuwaye Badmus, the party’s Public Relations Officer, emphasized the severe challenges faced by many Nigerians as a result of the current national circumstances. NNPP urged the president to promptly intervene and address the pressing situation.

The statement highlighted, “With the apparent failure of the proposed fuel subsidy removal, it is imperative for the APC-led administration to promptly reassess its policies. Nigerians have endured considerable hardships in recent days due to the scarcity of petroleum products across the nation.”

“Only a handful of filling stations are retailing fuel, often at exorbitant prices. Securing commercial transportation comes at a steep premium, burdening citizens beyond their means,” the statement continued.

The NNPP underscored the need for an immediate policy review, asserting that the perceived failure of the fuel subsidy removal under the Tinubu-led administration has exacerbated the plight of ordinary Nigerians. They deemed it crucial for the government to act swiftly in mitigating the hardship, especially considering the concurrent rise in the cost of essential food items.

In conclusion, the NNPP urged the APC-led federal government to devise effective solutions to alleviate the suffering of the masses and address the prevailing challenges.
