The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, on Wednesday joined leaders and dignitaries in Benin City to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration.
In his goodwill message, Engr. Momoh praised the Governor for what he described as a focused, transparent, and people-driven approach to governance. He noted that Okpebholo’s achievements within a year — from infrastructure upgrades to agricultural expansion and youth-focused programmes — signal a fresh beginning for Edo State.
The Minister also commended the Governor’s alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that Edo’s progress mirrors the national drive for inclusive development.
The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances and notable appearances, including the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Ewuare II, past governors, National Assembly members, and top political leaders, all showing solidarity with the administration.
Engr. Momoh reaffirmed his commitment to continued collaboration with the Edo State Government, adding that Edo’s steady rise is a clear sign of a new dawn powered by purposeful leadership.
