The supporters voiced their plea during a meeting with Mr. Francis Nwaubani, the Secretary of Abia Warriors.
They emphasized that with the recent special rehabilitation of the football pitch at Umuahia Township Stadium to enhance its quality, the team should now be permitted to play in the capital city of Abia State.
Highlighting the natural playing surface of the Umuahia Township Stadium field, the fans stressed the importance of utilizing it, particularly given the improved condition of the pitch.
Expressing their sentiments, supporters including Kalu Sammy, Nduka Divine, and Eme Mba John, conveyed to
that playing matches away from the team’s home ground would pose challenges for fans, especially considering the economic hardships that make regular travel from Umuahia difficult.
