In collaboration with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the government is committed to addressing the prevailing issues in a democratic, equitable, and just manner.

Despite numerous interventions, internal conflicts within the Assembly have persisted and escalated. The Ogun State government acknowledges that the members have openly expressed that their grievances do not lie with the governor, to whom they have reiterated their allegiance.

It is imperative to recognize that the selection of leadership within the House of Assembly is within the prerogative of its members, in accordance with the constitution and the laws governing the Assembly.

The Ogun State government, having received a mandate from the electorate to represent their best interests and facilitate the delivery of democratic dividends for the improvement of their well-being, is actively intervening alongside the party leadership. The objective is to ensure a peaceful and amicable resolution of any disputes among members, so as not to impede the provision of democratic dividends to the people.

Emphasizing that all members of the House of Assembly are considered partners in the “Building our Future” agenda, the Ogun State government is committed to prioritizing and addressing issues that impact them. The overarching goal is to foster a harmonious environment that facilitates the effective delivery of democratic benefits to the citizens of Ogun State.
