The fertilizer, acquired by the state government to support local farmers, was to be stored at the palace of Hama Batta for distribution. However, the Demsa Local Council Chairman, Akam Sanda Jallo, criticized the vendor for not notifying him of the delivery, which could have ensured better security for the cargo.

Jallo indicated that the council has identified a primary suspect believed to have orchestrated the theft but declined to name the individual. He also dismissed claims that the looters were youths involved in hunger protests.

Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed that police are actively investigating the theft and assured that the looters are not connected to the peaceful #EndBadGovernance protests in the state.
