Ado Bayero Receives Another Eviction Notice From Kano Authorities....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Kano State Government has instructed the police to enforce the removal of the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, from the Nassarawa mini palace. This directive follows a Federal High Court ruling in Kano on Thursday, June 20, which invalidated the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano and nullified subsequent actions related to it.

According to DailyTrust, despite the court’s decision, the Kano Government has ordered Ado Bayero’s eviction to facilitate the reconstruction and renovation of the property. The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Isah Dederi, emphasized during a press briefing at the Government House in Kano that the court’s ruling reaffirmed the legality of a state law passed by the Kano State House of Assembly and endorsed by the Governor on May 23, 2024.

Dederi stated, “By the Court’s ruling, it has reaffirmed the validity of the law passed by Kano State House of Assembly and assented to by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kano State on Thursday 23rd May, 2024. This part of the judgement is very fundamental to the entire matter.”

He further explained, “Following this Court’s ruling, Kano State Government has directed the State Commissioner of Police to remove the deposed emir from the Government property where he is trespassing as Government has already concluded arrangements for the general reconstruction and renovation of the property including the demolishing and reconstruction of the dilapidated wall fence with immediate effect.”

Thus, the eviction order is part of the state’s implementation of the court ruling, which also validates the dissolution of certain emirates created in 2019 and supports the deposition of their respective emirs.
