The Former Governor of Akwa Ibom, Akpabio led other chieftains of the ruling party such as Ali Ndume, and Jibrin Barau amongst others to the private residence of Governor Nyesom Wike in Abuja.

Wike stated that Akpabio supported his governorship ambition way back in 2015 and it is time to reciprocate the same energy by endorsing the leading ticket for the seat of 15th Senate president.

Recall Wike has openly claimed that Rivers State will also endorse the ruling party for House of Rep speaker.
