Their white official Hilux vehicle, with registration number 27D31FG, is also missing. Authorities are actively searching for them, but there have been no updates on their whereabouts.

The statement reads: “We wish to inform the public that two National Youth Service Corps officers went missing between Onitsha and Owerri on Monday, July 29, 2024. The missing individuals are Mr. Okun Christopher, NYSC Akwa Ibom State Coordinator, and his driver, Mr. Daniel Effiong Asibong. They were last in contact while traveling to Uyo in a white Hilux vehicle with registration number 27D31FG.

“Despite ongoing efforts, there have been no developments in locating them. We urge anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact any of the 37 NYSC State Secretariats, Area Offices, the National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, or the nearest police station or security agency for immediate action.
