The governor emphasized that ensuring security remains a top priority for his administration and sought increased prayers to help address the state’s challenges. He referred to Section 14 (2b) of the 1999 Constitution, which underscores that the security and welfare of the people are the primary responsibilities of government.
Oborevwori thanked the PFN for its support during recent national protests, noting that their prayers contributed to the state’s current peaceful state, contrasting with the violence seen during the #EndSARS protests. He reassured residents that the state is currently calm, with people going about their daily activities without fear.
