The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, has confidently dismissed the possibility of any merger successfully unseating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Ganduje made the statement on Friday during a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his Kaduna residence, accompanied by members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC). On the same day, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-governors Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Jibrilla Bindow (Adamawa), and Achike Udenwa (Imo) also paid Sallah homage to Buhari at the same location.

Speaking to reporters after his meeting, Ganduje said the APC is unbothered by efforts from opposition figures to form a coalition.

“We’re not concerned in the slightest. This is history attempting to repeat itself. They’ve tried this joint venture before, and it didn’t succeed. From our observation, many of the elements trying to unite are inherently incompatible,” he said. “It’s all politics, and while we won’t disclose our strategies, we assure Nigerians that we are fully prepared.”

The former Kano State governor also emphasized that the APC currently controls 21 states and expects to welcome more governors who may defect to the party soon.

He declared the APC as “the most formidable political force in West Africa,” vowing to strengthen its grip on power beyond 2027.

“We have our eyes on more states—either the governors themselves will switch to our party, or we will defeat them electorally. We’re confident but not complacent. Our work continues,” Ganduje added.
