APC Campaign Drama As Kano Residents Reject ₦3,000, Demand More Money

Some residents of Kano State who attended an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally have reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the ₦3,000 they received for participating in the event.

The development has sparked reactions on social media, with some of the attendees questioning whether the amount was sufficient to cover the expenses they incurred while travelling to the campaign venue.

According to a viral video circulating online, one of the residents, who spoke in Hausa, complained that some attendees had to borrow money to cover their transportation costs before travelling to the rally.

He reportedly expressed frustration that, despite the expenses incurred by participants, they were only given ₦3,000 after attending the event.

“If you people keep giving us ₦3,000 for APC campaign, we won’t come again. Some of us borrowed transport fare to come to the campaign ground, and they are only paying us ₦3,000,” the resident said.

The comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users criticising the alleged payment and others questioning the practice of giving people money to attend political rallies.

While some commenters described the amount as inadequate, others condemned residents for accepting financial incentives to participate in political activities.
