Buba Galadima, a prominent figure in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is driven by a desire to dismantle opposition parties.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Tuesday, Galadima referred to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as a splinter faction of the APC. He raised concerns about how many members of the SDP were originally from outside the APC.
Galadima’s remarks come after former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, recently defected from the ruling APC to the SDP. El-Rufai, who had grown increasingly critical of the APC-led government under President Bola Tinubu, cited a disconnect between his personal values and the party’s current direction as the reason for his departure. He has since called on other politicians to join the SDP in order to challenge Tinubu’s government in 2027.
However, Galadima maintained that the NNPP is a party of principles, emphasizing that it would not engage in coalitions just for the sake of it. He reiterated, “The SDP is merely a faction of the APC. How many non-APC members have joined the SDP? The APC’s true character is to crush the opposition. We must oppose based on principles, even if it means standing alone.”
