He emphasized that it is inappropriate for anyone to introduce religious considerations when discussing the appointment of the FCT Minister.
Saidu also urged religious leaders to exercise caution when attempting to intermingle religion with certain political matters, as such actions can potentially escalate tensions within the system.
Additionally, Saidu commended Governor Bassey Otu of Cross Rivers State for donating ten million naira to assist the Hausa and Fulani victims affected by a recent fire in the Bogobori area of the state. He described this gesture as a means of promoting national unity and peaceful coexistence.
Saidu remarked, “Minister Wike did not disrespect Islam, and if he were to, it is the Christian community that would likely respond first. We seek harmony, and some of our northern leaders should be cautious about blending their personal viewpoints with religious sentiments.”
