He commended President Tinubu for establishing a National Youth Conference aimed at engaging young people in nation-building efforts.
He assured that Delta State would embrace this initiative by investing in policies and programs that inspire hope in the youth and provide resources for wealth creation. The governor paid tribute to the nation’s founding fathers, who fought valiantly for Nigeria’s freedom, and expressed confidence that the current challenges would soon be overcome.

Acknowledging the inevitability of challenges, he emphasized that hope provides the energy and motivation needed to move forward, believing that every problem has a solution. He noted that his administration is actively working to alleviate the hardships caused by fiscal and monetary reforms, highlighting a significant increase in beneficiaries of the Delta Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (D-CARES) program—from 36,353 to 208,209 individuals, reflecting a remarkable 473 percent rise.
Governor Oborevwori pointed to considerable progress achieved in the past sixteen months, including the rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads, the construction of new roads, upgraded schools, critical housing projects, and improved living conditions.
“I can confidently say we have made significant strides, although we still have much work ahead. In the coming months and years, I anticipate that many of our projects will be realized as our policies and programs mature,” he remarked.
He emphasized that his administration would make every effort to reduce crime to a minimum by strengthening partnerships with security agencies. The governor encouraged citizens to act as responsible community members and maintain the peace in the state by rejecting bigotry, divisive tendencies, and conflicts.
