The statement outlined that on Friday, operatives from the command’s Rapid Response Squad 74 (RRS 74) intercepted Muhammad Isah of Kafanchan, Kaduna, who was driving a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number APP 489 XE. The vehicle was found to be transporting four male and eight female underage children to Ogun.

Preliminary investigations indicate that these children, aged between 5 and 16 years, hail from Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State and were allegedly victims of trafficking orchestrated by the pastor and an accomplice.

The suspects, Pastor Simon Kado and Jesse Simon Kado, are currently in police custody. The statement emphasized that the ongoing investigation is a collaborative effort with the Nasarawa State Police Command to facilitate the reunification of the victims with their respective families.

The Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh psc, mni, reiterated in the statement that ensuring the safety of residents remains the topmost priority. The authorities are committed to pursuing the investigation and working towards the swift reunion of the trafficked children with their families.
