APC Chieftain Eze Warns Wike: Stay Away from Bayelsa Politics....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has issued a strong warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, urging him to refrain from interfering in the political affairs of Bayelsa State.

In a statement released over the weekend in Port Harcourt, Eze cautioned Wike not to mistake the calm and peaceful nature of the Ijaw people for weakness, emphasizing that they must not be provoked. He accused Wike of attempting to meddle in Bayelsa’s political terrain—a move he warned could destabilize the state and distract Governor Douye Diri’s administration.

“The Ijaw people are not weak,” Eze said firmly. “Governor Diri must not stand by while Wike engages in disruptive political maneuvers in Bayelsa.”

Eze, a former member of the APC Legacy Media Team, commended Governor Diri for staying alert and resisting what he called Wike’s “sinister and anti-democratic plot” to sow political discord and violence in the state.

According to Eze, Wike is allegedly working to replicate the political crisis in Rivers State—where the governor, deputy, and lawmakers were suspended—with the intention of drawing presidential intervention into Bayelsa.

He warned that any attempts to import political unrest or spark a declaration of emergency in Bayelsa would be futile. “Such a scheme is doomed to fail,” he said.

Eze further advised Wike to abandon the idea of inciting crisis within the Bayelsa PDP in hopes of triggering widespread political instability. “It’s delusional and reckless,” he added. “President Tinubu will not be swayed by such deceitful plots to declare a state of emergency in Bayelsa.”

He also criticized Wike for overlooking ongoing violence in states like Plateau, Edo, and Zamfara, while allegedly targeting Bayelsa for political gain. “If Wike truly cares about Nigeria’s stability, he should be advising the president to address the broader insecurity across the country, not sow seeds of division in Bayelsa,” he concluded.

Finally, Eze urged the presidency not to misconstrue Governor Diri’s resistance to pro-Tinubu rallies and the emergence of “The New Associates” political group as a personal affront to President Tinubu.
