Bode George Calls Out Wike And Fayose For Their Role In PDP’s DeclineBode George, the former Deputy National Chairman (South-West) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has voiced his disappointment with the support shown by former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, George criticized their actions, labeling them as damaging to the PDP’s reputation among Nigerian voters. He remarked, “If former Governor Fayose has indeed rejected the PDP to support the APC governor, he has made his choice clear. The party should investigate the situation in Ekiti State before deciding on further actions. It’s unacceptable for a two-term governor from our party to openly back the opposition.”

Regarding Wike, George indicated that while the situation might still be resolvable, he disapproves of Wike’s current stance. He stated, “As a senior member of the party, his actions are degrading the PDP in the eyes of the electorate. We need to resolve our internal issues without making them public.”

George also took aim at the APC, asserting that despite the PDP’s internal challenges, it remains a better option compared to the APC, which he described as a collection of “strange bedfellows.” He questioned, “Is the APC really a better choice, even with our issues? Their party is just a mix of conflicting interests. We must rise above pettiness and selfishness to allow the PDP to realign itself.
