Bode George Reacts Furiously To PDP Secretariat Invasion: ‘Shameless Individuals Behind It

Elder statesman and former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has warned that the party is on the brink of disaster in 2027 unless it unites and takes decisive action against those undermining it.

George made this statement on Friday in response to the invasion of the party’s national secretariat by thugs.

Speaking to the press, George expressed outrage over the thuggish attack, calling it sacrilegious and inexcusable. He condemned the disruption of the 79th Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting, saying, “What happened on Wednesday during the meeting in Abuja is utterly despicable, horrific, and inhumane. The individuals behind this shameful act must be condemned by all who value democracy.”

He added, “We are in this situation because of a self-inflicted crisis. It is time to set aside personal ambitions and prevent the PDP from collapsing. The elders of the party must step in and stop these reckless individuals. As leaders, we cannot allow anyone to destroy the only true national party, the PDP. The APC is merely a collection of strange bedfellows.”

Turning his attention to the state of the nation, George urged President Bola Tinubu to address the economic struggles Nigerians are facing. “My message to Tinubu is clear: Nigerians are hungry and angry. As the Commander-in-Chief and the chief driver of the economy, now is the time to act and alleviate the suffering of the people.”

He further pointed out, “There is no separate market for APC and PDP members. All Nigerians face the same economic hardship. Bola Tinubu must reflect on whether his administration’s policies are truly benefiting the people.”
