Alao emphasized that Aregbesola’s recent conduct indicates his disassociation from the party within the state. However, due to his prominence, addressing his case necessitates intervention at the national Secretariat level.

He highlighted that Aregbesola’s perceived anti-party activities are causing disruptions within the state chapter, prompting the decision to bring the matter to the attention of the party’s higher echelons to maintain order.

Alao stated, “Rauf Aregbesola, from our perspective in Osun APC, no longer holds membership within the party in the State. We have made repeated notifications to the National Secretariat regarding Aregbesola’s disruptive behavior within APC in the state. It is incumbent upon the national leadership to address this issue promptly, given his stature as a national figure. I am confident that the national leadership will take appropriate action based on our report.”

In delivering the resolutions after the gathering, State Chairman Tajudeen Lawal urged party members to refrain from participating in any membership registration activities organized by external groups in the state.
