Speaking through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, during an interview on Westernspring Television in Osogbo, the governor maintained that all expenditures are carried out under established procurement laws and guided by “value for money” principles.

Rasheed dismissed allegations made by opposition figures accusing the administration of financial mismanagement, describing them as false, misleading, and politically motivated.

He explained that government spending is spread across various ministries and sectors, making it inaccurate to isolate or misrepresent figures as belonging to a single expenditure item.

Specifically addressing claims that the administration spent ₦92 billion on feeding, the spokesperson rejected the allegation outright, describing it as completely unfounded.

According to him, “It is a lie from the pit of hell,” adding that such claims either stem from deliberate misinformation or a lack of understanding of public finance.

He further stated that all government projects are executed in line with procurement regulations and are designed to deliver tangible benefits to residents across the state. Rasheed also highlighted the administration’s focus on local content, noting that Osun-based professionals and contractors are actively involved in project delivery.

The spokesperson said ongoing infrastructure projects—including roads, bridges, schools, and health facilities—meet acceptable engineering standards and reflect best practices. He added that completed and ongoing works across the state demonstrate visible value and quality.

Rasheed also listed several areas where state funds are being deployed, including infrastructure development, healthcare, education, agriculture, water projects, staff welfare, pensions, and empowerment programmes, insisting that the administration remains committed to improving living conditions in Osun State.
