The governor made this announcement during a visit by the Conference of Benue Journalists (CBJ) at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Makurdi.

He emphasized that the tour would provide journalists, particularly those who are Benue indigenes practicing outside the state, with essential insights into the projects and activities of the state government.

Governor Alia acknowledged the significant role played by the CBJ, noting their contributions to realizing a better Benue that not only benefits the state’s residents but also contributes to the overall development of the country.

He urged journalists to serve as positive ambassadors of the state, countering misinformation and propaganda that may aim to undermine government efforts.

Furthermore, Governor Alia encouraged members of the state executive council to leverage the presence of the CBJ to showcase the activities of their respective ministries.

Matthew Aboh, the Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, affirmed Governor Alia’s commitment to elevating the state.

He highlighted the governor’s unwavering dedication to fulfilling his promise of advancing the state to greater heights.

Dr. Emmanuel Anule, the President of CBJ, commended Governor Hyacinth Alia for his contributions to the state and encouraged him to continue in that trajectory.

He specifically praised the governor for ensuring prompt payment of salaries to Benue civil servants and appealed for sustained efforts in addressing security challenges within the state.

To familiarize CBJ members with ongoing projects, the Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Matthew Aboh, along with the Minister of Works and Housing, Hon. Isaac Tiza Imojime, led a tour of various projects within the Makurdi metropolis.
