Breaking: Lagos Drug Baron ‘Chisco Bee’ Nabbed As NDLEA Raids Warehouse, 18,000kg Drugs Recovered

A notorious drug baron, Frank Chijioke Ibemesi, popularly known as Chisco Bee, who masqueraded as a businessman and hotelier, has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) following weeks of intelligence gathering and surveillance.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The arrest was confirmed in a statement on Sunday, November 16, 2025, by NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi. The 42-year-old, Managing Director/CEO of Franc CJ Ibemesi Nigeria Ltd, was apprehended in the early hours of Saturday, November 15, at Daisy Garden Hotel, 66–68 Agbeke Street, Ago Palace Way, Isolo, Lagos.

After his arrest, operatives raided one of his warehouses at 7 Pius Ezeobi Street, off Ago Palace Way, recovering 42 jumbo bags and four cartons of Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, weighing a total of 1,762.8 kilograms. Large sums of foreign currency were also seized on site, including $11,600, £2,000, €2,200, and 50 Canadian dollars.

The Lagos operation formed part of a broader, week-long nationwide crackdown.

In Osun State, NDLEA operatives intercepted a major drug syndicate in the Orita-Apeje, Araromi-Okeodo forest reserve in Ife South LGA. Two trucks, a Volvo (WWR 29 XA) and a Mercedes (AWK 713 YZ), loaded with 11,135 kilograms of processed skunk, were confiscated, and seven suspects arrested: Lucky Abiodun, Julius Amos, Victor Ngbikili, Sunday Oduegwu, Ibrahim Akanni, Eze Godstime, and Fred Ifeanyichukwu.

In Edo State, multiple seizures totaling 1,902.1 kilograms of skunk were made, including:

  • 184.1kg along Oza/Igbanke Road, Orhionmwon LGA

  • 672kg from Utese forest, Ovia North East LGA

  • 494kg recovered from a Mercedes-Benz (DE311BEN) on the Benin–Akure road; driver Felix Edah, 45, arrested

  • 552kg from another Mercedes-Benz (JJJ 56 JW); driver Lucky Abagha, 51, arrested

Other states also recorded arrests and seizures:

  • Ogun State: Four suspects caught along Ijebu-Ode expressway with 68kg skunk and 3.15kg methamphetamine

  • Taraba State: Danjuma Tukura, 50, arrested with 172kg skunk in Sunkani, Ardo Kola LGA; Wisdom Titus, 24, with 84kg in Takum

  • Adamawa: 396,000 tramadol capsules seized from Ahmed Isyaku Nda, 50, at Aliyu Mustapha International Airport, Yola

  • Nasarawa: 785kg skunk recovered from a warehouse of a drug dealer currently at large

In Lagos, two suspects — Jamiu Kunle Kardoso and Oriyomi Waliu — were caught in Surulere with 65.15kg of Canadian Loud, while Taofeek Moraina was arrested in Otto, Oyingbo, with 141kg of Ghana Loud.

In Kwara State, NDLEA intercepted:

  • A truck (T-0262KT) along Ilorin–Jebba expressway carrying 78.565kg skunk and 155 cartons of rubber solutions; driver Umar Yakubu arrested

  • A commercial bus (KJA-657CY) at Eiyenkorin, Ilorin, with 20 blocks of skunk hidden in a 50-litre jerry can; driver Ibrahim Bello arrested

Alongside enforcement, the NDLEA continued its War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign in schools, worship centres, and workplaces, including:

  • Holy Ghost Secondary School, Abakaliki (Ebonyi)

  • Government Science Technical School, Ringim (Jigawa)

  • City Girls Secondary School, Enugu

  • Randle Junior Secondary School, Surulere (Lagos)

  • Anglican Girls Grammar School, Obalende, Ijebu-Ode (Ogun)
