Emefiele, whose trial was interrupted approximately 24 hours ago, is scheduled to appear before a High Court in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. A notice for his trial before Justice Hamza Muazu,  that the ex-CBN Governor will face charges alongside Ramalan Yaro.

A court registrar, preferring anonymity, confirmed that Emefiele would be presented before the court this morning for his plea of guilty or not guilty.

Maxwell Opara, a member of his defense team, also affirmed that the notice of arraignment had been delivered to the former CBN Governor for his court appearance.

Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Matthew Burkaa, who signed an undertaking to ensure Emefiele’s presence in court, will produce the former CBN governor.

This undertaking was part of the conditions for his bail, granted by Justice Olukayode Adegbola Adeniyi, also of the FCT High Court.
