I have been a two-term Governor, Senator for two terms, Minister, and now Secretary to the Government of the Federation; so no more.”

Expressing gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for considering him worthy to be part of the team, the SGF affirmed his confidence in the Tinubu-led administration’s ability to make a significant difference in the lives of Nigerians. He acknowledged the challenges inherited by President Tinubu but commended the initiation of programs and policies that will positively impact the citizens, urging patience from the public.

Assuring that the government is actively working to reduce poverty, Senator Akume highlighted the administration’s seven months in office, emphasizing the long journey ahead. He instilled hope, stating, “The future is bright, there is renewed hope. Our tomorrow will be better than today, I can assure you that.
