In an official statement released on Thursday, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, disclosed the identities of those elevated to the rank of Major General. Notable mentions include Brigadier General WB Etuk, who serves as the Commandant of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management, and Brigadier General JE Osifo, holding the position of Commandant at the Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration.

Other distinguished promotions include Brigadier General WM Dangana, commanding Sector 3 of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, Brigadier General TB Ugiagbe, Acting Chief of Military Intelligence, and Brigadier General ASM Wase, Deputy Director General at the Land Forces Stimulation Centre, Nigeria Operations. Further promotions feature Brigadier General MA Abdullahi, Commandant of the Depot, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General BI Alaya, Commander of the Command Engineering Depot, Brigadier General AO Oyelade, Director of Personnel Planning at Army Headquarters, Department of Personnel Management, and Brigadier General OO Arogundade, Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Electrical, among others.

Additionally, officers elevated from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General include Col Nwakonobi, Chief of Staff at Headquarters 3 Brigade, Col MC Akin Ojo, Commander of the 41 Engineer Brigade, Col BM Madaki, Deputy Director at Army Headquarters, Operations Monitoring Team, Col MO Edide, Director of Staff at the Army War College Nigeria, Col KE Inyang, Commander of the 76 ST Brigade, and Col OO Nafiu, Chief of Staff at the Office of the Chief of Army Staff, among others.

In response to the promotions, Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly promoted senior officers and their families. He emphasized the need for them to redouble their efforts, justifying their elevation and upholding the confidence placed in them.
