Breaking News: Tinubu Declares Determination To Continue Until Insecurity Is Eradicated
President Bola Tinubu, in a statement on Monday, reiterated his dissatisfaction with the prevailing insecurity in the country. Expressing sorrow over the tragic incident, Tinubu emphasized his administration’s commitment to providing support to survivors of insecurity in the North East. He lamented the unfortunate accidental bombing and stressed that addressing security concerns goes beyond the battlefield.
Tinubu declared, “We are not satisfied yet. We are not satisfied until we reach the end of insecurity in Nigeria.” He outlined plans to allocate resources in the 2024 budget to enhance the welfare of the armed forces and their families while ensuring that the administration reflects the gratitude of the Nigerian people towards those making sacrifices.
Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, acknowledged the improving collaboration between security agencies and the state government. He expressed commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda in combating insecurity nationwide and thanked President Tinubu for his leadership. The Shehu of Borno urged the President to focus on infrastructural interventions in insurgency-affected areas, emphasizing the need for assistance in power projects and job creation.
In response, Tinubu commended the Shehu for supporting peace efforts and pledged to involve traditional institutions actively in maintaining stability at the grassroots level across the country. The President affirmed his dedication to addressing security challenges comprehensively and expressed condolences to the victims’ families, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to achieve lasting peace.
