Regarding the Plateau crisis, Shettima clarified that the issues were not rooted in religion but rather called for mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence. He expressed the administration’s dedication to deploying resources to address political contradictions and ethnic undertones, working towards a lasting solution.

Shettima acknowledged Nigeria’s social contradictions and emphasized the necessity of restoring people’s confidence in the government for national peace and development.

The Vice President’s commitment to addressing internal conflicts was lauded by John Hirse, who, along with his delegation, visited Aso Villa to express gratitude for Shettima’s attendance at his coronation. Hirse commended Shettima for being a unifying figure and pledged support from his community to Tinubu’s administration.
