Ganduje revealed that several key figures within the NNPP have finalized their plans to defect to the APC.

The former Kano State Governor made this statement during the distribution of 63 vehicles and 1,137 motorcycles to APC local government and ward chairmen across the state. The initiative was part of an empowerment program sponsored by Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin.

“This empowerment program goes beyond APC members; it is for the people of Kano. It will enhance livelihoods and generate employment opportunities.

“Thousands are defecting to our great party. Very soon, we will officially welcome several high-profile members from that collapsing party,” he said.

Ganduje also commended President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, attributing recent economic improvements, such as lower fuel prices, reduced food costs, and the naira’s appreciation, to his policies.

In his remarks, Senator Jibrin emphasized that the empowerment program aimed to uplift party leaders and members in Kano, ensuring no one is left behind.

“This is a massive initiative, beginning with our party leaders. By providing them with vehicles and motorcycles, we are not only supporting their livelihoods but also creating jobs.

“We are committed to ensuring that everyone benefits. This is just the beginning,” he stated.
