Tragedy struck in Mairuwa village, Faskari local government area of Katsina State on Saturday night, March 25, as bandits unleashed violence, resulting in the death of a prominent politician identified as Alhaji Lado. READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE
Eyewitnesses recounted to Daily Trust that during the attack, another individual fell victim to the bandits’ gunfire. It is believed that Lado was the primary target of the assailants.
Reports suggest that the businessman, politician, and large-scale farmer met his demise after bravely resisting the directives of his assailants.
According to a source quoted by the publication: “They opened fire on him when they attempted to kidnap him but he refused to follow them.”

In a chilling turn of events, one survivor of the mosque attack disclosed that the attackers abducted the wife and two daughters of Alhaji Lado. Additionally, a health worker known simply as Sani was also among the victims of the brutal assault.
“He worked at the Mairuwa Health Facility,” the witness revealed.
