Dr. Cardoso made this revelation during his remarks at the 58th Bankers Dinner of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria in Lagos on Friday.

He pointed out that the measures implemented by the CBN have started showing positive outcomes, as there is a noticeable decline in the month-on-month inflation growth.

Dr. Cardoso emphasized that despite the continued rise in absolute inflation, the decreasing rate of growth indicates progress.

He affirmed the CBN’s confidence in effectively managing inflation through ongoing tightening measures in the coming two quarters.

He stated, “Month-on-month Inflation has also begun to decline, with a growth rate of 0.67 per cent in October compared to 0.97 percent previously.
