In a statement released by his media aide, Boniface Onyedi, Fubara announced, “The Supreme Court revalidated our mandate in the election about an hour ago. It is a victory for the entire state. This win is crucial for consolidating the purpose of governance, especially considering the distractions we’ve faced.”
Fubara, expressing gratitude for the support received, thanked God for assistance and acknowledged President Bola Tinubu’s fatherly role in matters concerning Rivers State. He extended appreciation to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, whom he referred to as his “Oga,” for unwavering support.
Calling on unity, the governor urged everyone to collaborate with his administration in building a competitive state that would be recognized as truly prosperous. Fubara outlined his vision for making Rivers State highly competitive and encouraged all parties to set aside internal issues for the collective goal of development.
He emphasized the importance of peace in achieving the state’s aspirations, urging members from other parties to join hands in building the Rivers State of their shared dreams. While promising to address the state soon on the victory, Fubara concluded by expressing hope that with divine help, any remaining challenges would be resolved amicably, fostering unity within the state.
