The Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja, has appealed to the governors of the Northern region to grant the troops the authority and freedom to effectively combat and eliminate terrorists. In response to recent calls for amnesty to be granted to bandits terrorizing the North-western region, Lagbaja categorically ruled out the possibility of such amnesty. Instead, he issued a stern warning to the criminals, urging them to leave the country immediately.
