In a recent development, troops from the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army deployed to address the crisis in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State successfully neutralized three bandits on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. The troops bravely confronted an ambush set up by the bandits while responding to a distress call in the general area of Mangu. Overcoming the ambush, the troops recovered three AK-47 rifles, fourteen rounds of 7.62 mm Special rounds, one motorcycle, and a Constabulary Police Identity card. Efforts are currently underway to track down the bandits who escaped with gunshot wounds during the encounter. CONTINUE READING
