Nigerian music icons Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid), Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu (Burna Boy), and Temilade Openiyi (Tems) have earned nominations for the prestigious 2025 NAACP Image Awards.

Organized annually by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Image Awards honor remarkable achievements in film, television, theatre, music, and literature.

Wizkid is up for two awards, both tied to his collaboration with Brent Faiyaz on “Piece of My Heart.” He has been nominated in the categories of ‘Outstanding International Song’ and ‘Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (Contemporary).’

Burna Boy, teaming up with Usher, is also nominated for ‘Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (Contemporary)’ for their hit track “Coming Home.”

Meanwhile, Tems is recognized in the ‘Outstanding International Song’ category for her soulful track “Love Me JeJe.”

The 56th NAACP Image Awards are scheduled for February 22, 2025, at the Pasadena Civic Center.
