Cross Breaks Silence On ₦500m, $200k Offers As He Defends Whitemoney

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ikechukwu Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross, has revealed that he rejected offers of ₦500 million and $200,000 from men who allegedly wanted an intimate relationship with him.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Cross made the disclosure on X while defending fellow reality TV star Whitemoney, who had spoken about receiving an unwanted advance from a man through his direct messages.

Whitemoney had reportedly shared a message in which a man referred to him as “papi” while making an advance towards him. The incident generated reactions online, with some social media users commenting on Whitemoney’s appearance and mannerisms.

Reacting to the controversy, Cross argued that a man displaying feminine mannerisms or having a certain personality should not automatically be interpreted as being attracted to men. He maintained that appearance and mannerisms do not necessarily determine a person’s sexual orientation.

Cross also disclosed that he had personally received substantial financial offers from men in the past but turned them down, despite the amounts allegedly involved. According to him, his decision was influenced by the values instilled in him by his mother while growing up.

He further defended Whitemoney’s decision to share the unsolicited message publicly, asking whether people would react differently if he also decided to reveal some of the messages he receives privately.

Cross cautioned social media users against sending inappropriate or unwanted messages to others, noting that not everyone would be comfortable with such advances. He also said people should be mindful of the boundaries of others when communicating online.

His comments have since generated reactions among social media users, with discussions focusing on unsolicited messages, personal boundaries, gender expression and the way celebrities respond to private advances.
