Amidst the ongoing dispute between the Nigerian Government and Binance, Yuki Gambaryan, the spouse of Tigran Gambaryan, a detained Binance executive, expressed deep concern regarding her husband’s prolonged detention in Nigeria.

She reached out to US Senator Cory Booker and Congresswoman Sara Jacobs, who led a delegation to meet with President Bola Tinubu at the State House on Wednesday, urging them to intervene for Gambaryan’s release.

“For over 30 days, my husband has been held by the Nigerian government without any formal charges laid against him. Instead of engaging in constructive dialogue with the company through established international protocols, they have chosen to hold him accountable for actions that remain unverified,” Yuki lamented.

“In essence, my husband is being used as leverage. As these congressional representatives traverse Nigeria, I implore them to exert pressure on Nigerian authorities to release Tigran and to pursue any investigations directly with Binance through proper channels,” she emphasized.

It’s worth recalling that two Binance executives, Nadeem Anjarwalla and Tigran Gambaryan, were initially detained upon their arrival in Nigeria on February 26, 2024, on allegations including tax evasion.

However, Anjarwalla managed to escape on Friday, March 22, from a guest house in Abuja where he and his colleague, Gambaryan, were being held.
